Sinead O'Keefe
Sinead O’Keefe isn’t here to whisper old stories—she’s here to tear them open and shout them back at you.
Hailing from Ireland’s west coast, she grew up surrounded by the same traditions everyone talks about—but instead of preserving them in glass, she plugged them into an amp and turned the volume up.
Her sound lives where Irish roots collide with punk attitude: raw, fast, unapologetic, and full of bite. Her voice cuts through like a blade—gritty, emotional, and unmistakably Irish. There’s no polish for the sake of it, no soft edges unless the moment earns it. One second she’s snarling through a line with defiance, the next she’s dragging you into something stripped-back and haunting, before kicking the door back in again.
Sinead’s music leans into themes of frustration, identity, and not fitting the mould—taking the weight of Irish history and flipping it into something loud, modern, and restless. It’s rebellion with roots. Tradition, but with its knuckles bloodied.
She sits in that space alongside acts like The Pogues, Fontaines D.C., and the more aggressive edge of modern Celtic punk—but with a distinctly female voice at the centre, bringing both fire and control to the chaos.
Sinead O’Keefe doesn’t romanticise Ireland. She argues with it—and makes it sing
louder.
